To get trained and equipped, Ephesians 4:11-11

Pursue God – We seek God and will wait expectantly for His presence in all that we do.  John 4: 34, John 5:19-20

The Bible - We acknowledge the supreme value of the truth revealed in the Bible, and our desire is to grow in our ability to both understand and apply it’s saving truth to our lives.

Generosity – We are stewards of God’s gifts and resources.  We do no own our ministries, they are not ours to keep.  We ‘give to get to give’.  Matthew 10:8, 39, Matthew 13:45-46

Relationship – loving one another and loving God are vital to the Christian life

Simplicity – We want to be ‘naturally supernatural’, avoiding behaviour that draws attention away from God and to ourselves.  1 Corinthians 2:2-5

Compassion and Mercy – God’s mercy always triumphs over judgement

Risk Taking – We know that gifting develops in an environment of trial and error, so we are to be patient with people’s weaknesses and failures while they learn.  John 21:15-19, Galatians 5:22-23

Worship – The historic confessions of our faith acknowledges that humanity’s great purpose is to ‘know God and Glorify Him forever’.  Through our worship, we are expressing this purpose in the present tense, knowing that He is truly worthy of all the attention, affection, and honour we could ever offer Him.

Genuineness – Above all we see to be genuine in our faith, in our relationships, and in our service to Christ and to one another.

Active Faith – Our relationship with Jesus convinces us not just to believe the truth, but also put His truth into practice in our lives.  Active faith compels us to serve the continuing work of Jesus by embracing His ministry to the poor, the hurting, the sick, and the lost.  Every person in the Church has a part to play in this work by praying, giving and serving in the strength of God and the gifts of His Spirit.
